February 22, 2025
12 pm- 7pm
430 N Riverside Rd Highland NY
This period between the winter solstice and spring equinox is a time of transition and awakening, celebrated by our ancestors with rituals and traditions. It symbolizes the renewal of Earth's energy and the return of light, marking the start of a growing season. During this time, we set intentions for a more conscious life and awaken our potential to realize our creative gifts.
At our retreat, we will connect with beeswax and the herbs used by our grandmothers. Participants will create candles infused with herbs and oils, including cleansing and intention-setting candles, as well as rolled herb candles for quick assistance.
We will create amazing candles with herbs and oils.
We will learn to make cleansing candles and intention-setting candles.
We will learn to make rolled herb candles, known as "gnomes," which are created for situations where quick assistance is important.
We will learn the ancient method of healing and cleansing called "Wax Casting."
We will learn to create our own whispers and encase them in wax and candles.
We will connect with the forces of the Ancient Wheel and nature, creating a collective circle of intention for renewal.
And we will open the Ceremony of Renewal and Awakening of inner resources, with hand-made Bird Candles.

Retreat facilitator Svetlana Myaskovsky.
Svetlana is a healer and carrier of the Sacred Drum and Native Pipe, guided by wise grandmothers and indigenous teachers who have shared the Wisdom of Mother Earth through generations. With gratitude, she offers this medicine to others. Her lineage includes herbalists and midwives from Ryzan, along with influences from Mongolian shamanism.
In the U.S., she studied and healed with Native American tribes, including the Ojibwe and Lakota, and has learned from curanderos in Mexico and Peru. Over the years, Svetlana has woven together the knowledge and skills from her teachers into a comprehensive Medicine Bundle, which she shares with those seeking authentic healing and self-discovery.
